Water Safety Committee Responsibility: Track water and boating safety as it pertains to the Lauderdale Lakes. Note changes in Coast Guard and state laws that affect Lauderdale Lakes users.
Opportunity for Community Involvement: Contact your local DNR office to sign up for their boating course. Many laws have changed and it's a great refresher. You may receive a reduction on boat insurance for taking the course.

Boat Speed Restrictions:
Maximum ten (10) miles per hour from Sunset to Sunrise on Weekdays and Sunset to 9:00am on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
Maximum fifty (50) miles per hour from 9:00am to Sunset on Holidays and Weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
