WATER QUALITY

Water Quality Committee Responsibility: Monitor water quality. Water monitoring and testing. Send water samples to lab and report back to board. Specifically monitoring for water clarity, phosphorus, and chlorides. Ensure septic system monitoring.

Opportunity for Community Involvement: Lake community members please use no phosphorus fertilizer. Phosphorus is the middle number on fertilizer bags. That number should be zero. Phosphorus causes excessive weed and algae growth and is the number one lake quality problem.
